The Junior Accountant CDFI provides day-to-day accounting support for two affiliate entities of AAFE known as Renaissance Economic Development Corp (“REDC”) and AAFE Community Development Fund (“CDF”). These entities are Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) certified by the US Treasury to provide financial literacy and access to capital to low income small business owners and home buyers, respectively, for the purpose of economic development in distressed communities.
Summary:
Under the supervision of the Senior Accountant CDFI, the Junior Accountant CDFI prepares, records and processes accounts payable and cash disbursements; maintains an effective system for invoicing and following up on reimbursements; reviews open invoice reports and follows up with schedule of payments or adjustments; maintains required records, reports, and files in an organized manner; completes any other tasks as assigned by the Senior Accountant CDFI.
